HomeConnect your agent

Connect your coding agent

Entalpa serves your project over MCP so an AI coding agent can read it directly. Pick the path that fits your client.

before you start

Your agent will ask you to log in

The MCP server serves your own projects, so it authenticates you. The first time your agent connects — from /mcp in Claude Code, or codex mcp login entalpa in Codex — a browser window opens and asks for your Entalpa account: the same login you use in the app. Register first, otherwise that prompt has nothing to accept.

  • Registration is free — no credit card, and you can connect an agent right away.
  • MCP operations are free too. Reading and writing your project over MCP never spends credits — those only pay for Entalpa's own AI work, like turning a description into stories and requirements.

Plugin (recommended)

One install adds the MCP connection and the Entalpa skills together, so your agent gets both the live spec and guidance on how to work with it.

Claude app: chat, Cowork and the desktop app

Entalpa is listed in Claude's plugin directory. Open Customize › Plugins, search for Entalpa on the Discover tab and add it, then connect the Entalpa connector from its Connectors tab. Directory plugins need a Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan; on Free, add the MCP URL below as a custom connector.

Open Claude's plugin directory

Claude Code

Installs the plugin from Claude's plugin directory, with MCP and the Entalpa skills together. Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later. Already added Entalpa in the Claude app? Claude Code loads it from your account, so skip this.

claude plugin install entalpa@anthropic-plugin-directory

Codex

Adds MCP and the Entalpa skills together.

codex plugin marketplace add entalpa/entalpa-mcp --sparse .agents/plugins --sparse plugins
codex plugin add entalpa@entalpa-plugins

Then log in to Entalpa

Installing the plugin does not log you in. In Claude Code, run this, select plugin:entalpa:entalpa and approve the browser prompt with your Entalpa account. In Codex, run codex mcp login entalpa. In the Claude app, connecting from the plugin's Connectors tab opens the same prompt.

/mcp

Then: Your agent reads stakeholders, stories, and requirements directly from Entalpa, and follows the skill's workflow — read before writing, preserve traceability — when it implements them.

mcp only

MCP only

Just the raw connection — use this if your client doesn't support plugins, or you only need query access.

MCP server URLhttps://api.entalpa.com/mcp

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http entalpa https://api.entalpa.com/mcp

Codex

codex mcp add entalpa --url https://api.entalpa.com/mcp
codex mcp login entalpa

Then log in to Entalpa

In Claude Code, run this, select entalpa and approve the browser prompt with your Entalpa account. Codex logs in with the codex mcp login entalpa line above.

/mcp

Then: Your agent can call Entalpa's tools directly, but skips the skill's guidance for keeping edits traceable.

Want the skill too, without the plugin?

The Entalpa skill (read-before-write workflow guidance) is separate from both the plugin and the MCP connection. Grab just the skill files and drop them into your skills folder.

git clone --depth 1 --filter=blob:none --sparse https://github.com/entalpa/entalpa-mcp
cd entalpa-mcp
git sparse-checkout set skills/entalpa-implement
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
cp -r skills/entalpa-implement ~/.claude/skills/

Setup for your client

Every client exposes MCP differently — a settings pane, a JSON key, a one-click link — and fails differently when it does not connect. One page each, with the commands that client actually takes.

Claude Code

Use the Entalpa Claude Code plugin to install MCP plus all skills together, or use Claude Code's native MCP command when you only want the remote server.

Cursor

Use Cursor's self-service Add to Cursor link for one-click MCP setup, with MCP settings or .cursor/mcp.json as fallbacks, then install the skills separately.

Codex CLI, IDE, and App

Use the Entalpa Codex plugin to install MCP plus all skills together, or use Codex's native MCP command and npx skills when you want separate setup.

Windsurf (Devin Desktop and Cascade)

Use Devin Desktop's Cascade MCP UI for remote Streamable HTTP, then commit the Entalpa skills to a native repository skills path.

VS Code and GitHub Copilot

Prefer the Entalpa agent plugin shared with Copilot CLI, or use the VS Code MCP server gallery or .vscode/mcp.json for direct setup.

Gemini CLI

Use this legacy path only where Gemini CLI still serves the account's authentication tier; affected individual users should migrate the same MCP and skills workflow to Antigravity CLI.

Claude Desktop and Claude.ai

Use Claude custom connectors for the remote MCP server and Claude.ai's native custom-skill upload for the Entalpa workflow.

Cline

Use Cline's Remote Servers tab or MCP settings JSON, then install the Entalpa skills in Cline's documented skills paths.

Roo Code

Roo Code supports Streamable HTTP MCP configuration through global or project MCP settings. Use Entalpa's remote URL and server instructions.

Zed

Configure Entalpa as a Zed custom remote MCP server with context_servers, then install the skills in Zed's documented skills path.

Google Antigravity

Configure Entalpa in Antigravity's dedicated MCP profile with the current serverUrl key, then install the skills in the matching user or workspace scope.

Kiro

Use Kiro's official one-click MCP link or add Entalpa through workspace or user MCP configuration, then install the skills in Kiro's native skills path.

Warp

Use Warp's desktop MCP settings to complete Entalpa browser OAuth, then reuse the validated configuration in supported local or Oz agent runs.

OpenCode

Use opencode mcp add or opencode.json with a remote MCP entry, then install the Entalpa skills.

Amp

Use Amp's MCP configuration or --mcp-config for command-line runs, then install the Entalpa skills with npx skills.

Continue

Continue supports MCP blocks and remote HTTP-based transports. Add Entalpa through Continue MCP configuration, then use Entalpa server instructions for workflow guidance.

Not listed? About fifteen more clients are documented in the public docs repo at entalpa/entalpa-mcp.
